Lawhead General Contracting, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Seth and Karen Lawhead. As children of self-employed parents, Seth and Karen have always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Growing up, Seth worked in the construction industry with his father building a foundation of experience and knowledge. Karen's first job at the age of 15 was as a payroll clerk at her father's roofing construction company.

After attending Southwest Texas State University, Seth felt it was time to begin his own company, establishing a name for himself in the San Marcos area. After graduating from the University of Texas at San Antonio, Karen worked for several CPA firms gaining the experience necessary to acquire her CPA license. Seth and Karen teamed up to apply their experience and knowledge into building a family owned and operated general contracting firm, servicing clients from South Austin to north San Antonio.

Seth and Karen have maintained a home in San Marcos for the past four years. Seth's daughter Jacqulyn as well as Tory, Kida and Shiloh are a large part of Seth and Karen's lives. In addition to helping Seth run LGC, Karen operates her CPA practice and volunteers through the Bluebonnet Lions Club in San Marcos.
